65 & Over Adult Championships
Congratulations to all the teams that participated in the 2015 65 & Over Championships in Lexington October 2nd thru the 4th. Plans were to play all matches outdoors on clay courts, however with the weather we were dealt, matches were moved indoors for most of the weekend. Thank you to the Lexington Tennis Club for working with us to make sure our players had a great experience. October Adult League Captain of the Month
Rhonda Price has been a league captain for twenty years!! Thank you Rhonda! She began playing tennis because her sister thought she might enjoy the sport. Rhonda has a co-captain, Robin Barr, who has been by her side all this time. To read more about Rhonda and her love of this game, click here.
Allison McKamey and Caleb Buckman Star at Southern Junior Cup
Kentucky was represented well at last weekend's Southern Junior Cup as Allison McKamey of Paducah and Caleb Buckman of Owensboro were chosen as MVP's for the state of Kentucky.
2015 Mixed Doubles State Championships
Congratulations to all the teams that advanced to compete in the Kentucky State Championships in Murray. Teams enjoyed an incredible weekend of tennis. From beautiful blue skies...to great music...to a good ole BBQ dinner, the players had a wonderful time. 12U Southern Junior Cup Team Represents Kentucky
Congrats to 12 and Under Southern Junior Cup team that travelled to Chattanooga, Tennessee last weekend to represent the state of Kentucky. The 3 boys and 3 girls competed hard against the other 8 states in the Southern section in a team competition held every year across the region. For full results from the event, click here. Special congrats goes out to Jacks Lancaster, who was named MVP of the event for the state of Kentucky. The teams for the 14U and 18U divisions are slated to head to Tennessee for their tournaments this weekend. We wish them the best of luck.

Paducah Drop Shots Recreational Tennis League is an 8 week league for new tennis players or players looking for more social, recreational tennis fun. All matches will be played at the West Kentucky Community and Technical College on Tuesday nights from 6-8. Louisville Young Adult Fall Drop Shots League Registration OPEN!
Following our first ever session in the Spring, the Louisville Drop Shots league is expanding this fall! We are now offering separate sessions on Monday and Tuesday nights starting August 17th at Seneca Park. League start time has moved back to 6:30pm for each session and the post-match social at Saints Pizza and Pub will remain. The session will run 8 weeks and current USTA members will receive a discounted rate for signing up. You don't have to have a team to sign up or up to 4 players can sign up together. Raise a Racquet Foundation for Kentucky Tennis
The Raise a Racquet Foundation is USTA Kentucky's Endowment Fund and is it's own separate 501(c)3 entity, overseen by USTA Kentucky's Board of Directors. Through the funds raised, Raise a Racquet is able to carry out charitable good works to the Kentucky tennis community. In 2015, Raise a Racquet was able to award $3000 in college scholarships via the Jason Isaacs Scholarship Fund. Raise a Racquet also awarded $4000 for tournament travel, fees for clinics and camps for juniors who may otherwise would not have been able to participate. Raise A Racquet also provides a variety of resources and opportunities for individuals with disabilities, as well as wounded, ill, and injured veterans to enjoy and play the game.
