May is Tennis Month in Elizabethtown
Mayor Tim C. Walker of Elizabethtown, Kentucky proclaimed the month of May 2013 as Tennis Month in Elizabethtown and asks all citizens to work together to raise awarness of the game of tennis and maximize its social and health benefits by participating in the sport.
Mayor Tim C. Walker, Etown Tennis Commission Youth Lesson Coordinator Tim Hinkle, and Elizabethtown Tennis Commission Chairman Bo O'Brien are promoting a USTA Tennis Block Party to be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Freeman Lake Tennis Complex in Elizabethtown from

Local Adult League Coordinator Contest!

USTA National will be rewarding USTA Local League Coordinators for their efforts at increasing participation in USTA League programs.  The top prize of two 2014 US Open tickets including airfare and hotel accommodations will go to the one coordinator with the highest increase in total registrations between June 1, 2013 and May 31, 2014 as compared to registrations between June 1, 2012 and May 31, 2013.  Two prizes to assist at a National League Championship, including airfare and hotel accommodations, will be awarded to coordinators with the highest percentage increase and the highest increase in the "unique" number of players between June 1, 2013 and May 31, 2014 compared to June 1, 2012 and May 31, 2013.  Wish your Local League Coordinator luck!

Freeman Lake Courts, Elizabethtown
Congratulations to the Elizabethtown Tennis Commission, on the dedication of the 10 court facility that was the vision of Bo and Kathy O'Brien that has come to reality!   We hope everyone gets a chance to swing by and have a hit on these delightful courts with beautiful lake scenery.   12/21/12 was named Bo O'Brien Day and Freeman Lake Center Court is dedicated in his name.  Click here to see the dedication ceremony!
