Team Kentucky selected for Southern Junior Cup
The following kids have been selected to represent Kentucky as a part of the Southern Junior Cup, held over 2 weekends at the beginning of September in Tennessee. The parents of these kids have been notified of their invite and if turned down, alternates will be selected to round out the 3 boy, 3 girl quota at each age division. Congrats to these kids on their wonderful accomplishment.

65th Annual KY Adult Closed Championships
The registration for the 65th annual KY Adult Closed Championships in Louisville is open. Both open and rated divisions are available with $5,000 in prize money for the open divisions. This is a 300-point event for all divisions. Play will be held at Top Gun Academy and Standard Country Club. To register, you can CLICK HERE.
Kentucky players help lead 14U Southern Team to Zonal Championship
A team comprised of players from the USTA Southern section, including 3 players from Kentucky and head coach Rex Ecarma have captured the USTA Zonal Championship for the 14 and Under division in Cary, North Carolina. The players from Kentucky (pictured above) were Lauren Waddles of Georgetown and Xavier Ecarma and Michael Chou of Louisville. Congrats to these kids and Coach Ecarma on their wonderful accomplishment and all other kids who participated at the Zonals. LEXINGTON DROP SHOTS LEAGUE BEGINS AGAIN
The Lexington Drop Shots Tennis League, designed for young adults between the ages of 21-40, is beginning again in August. The league runs for 8 weeks and players will play every Tuesday night at Castlewood Park from 6:30-8:30pm. Players can sign up with another person or as an individual and teams will be created by the league coordinator. The cost of the league is $40.00 for the 8 week session. HALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS
The deadline for Hall of Fame nominations has been extended to June 1! The Hall of Fame Committee may induct up to three persons per year. To be elected a candidate must receive more than one-half of the votes possible by the committee. If you wish to submit a nomination, please click here for more information. Please submit your nomination to the USTA Kentucky office by June 1 for the year in which the nominee is to be considered. Nominations are perpetual and accepted year-round.
USTA KENTUCKY LOOKING FOR INTERNS!
USTA Kentucky is looking for young people passionate about the game of tennis who would like to join our team this spring and summer. Applicants can choose to work with our adult programs or junior programs and are being asked to work 10-20 hours per week. Interns will have a hands on impact on programming, championships, and all aspects of tennis in Kentucky. USTA Tennessee Marketing and Communications Coordinator Position Opening
Responsible for the marketing and promotion of all USTA leagues, programs, and events for the state of Tennessee. Oversee the planning and implementation of strategies for the growth and participation of all areas of the sport statewide. Serve as a resource for volunteers and staff alike to promote grass roots programming within communities and CTAs. Plan and manage current USTA TN events and tournaments as well as seek out and create new opportunities for promotion and play. Oversee and direct all multimedia and communication outlets for the organization. Work in partnership with both Sectional and National partners to reach the strategic goals of the state.
