2015 USTA Kentucky Awards
It is that time of year again to start nominating for the USTA Kentucky Awards. Anyone considered must be a USTA member or member organization in good standing. This year's annual awards ceremony will take place on October 10th at the Marriott Louisville East.

Fall Adult Singles League Registration OPEN!
After a highly successful Spring season, the registration for the Fall session of the Kentucky Adult Singles League is open in Louisville. Leagues in Paducah and Lexington will open their registration soon. If you are interested in playing in a singles-only league, you can either CLICK HERE or click on the logo in the upper right-hand corner of the home page. 18 & Over and 40 & Over divisions are available from every rating from 2.5 through 5.0. Other key changes this session will be all flight matches will be played on the same night of the week. Louisville Young Adult Fall Drop Shots League Registration OPEN!
Following our first ever session in the Spring, the Louisville Drop Shots league is expanding this fall! We are now offering separate sessions on Monday and Tuesday nights starting August 17th at Seneca Park. League start time has moved back to 6:30pm for each session and the post-match social at Saints Pizza and Pub will remain. The session will run 8 weeks and current USTA members will receive a discounted rate for signing up. You don't have to have a team to sign up or up to 4 players can sign up together. Junior Team Tennis State Championships
Congrats to the 200 participants in the 2015 Junior Team Tennis State Championships in Etown, Kentucky. Six teams qualified for the Southern Sectional Championships in South Carolina next month. Despite hot days on both Friday and Saturday, teams from across the state battled hard and champions were decided in 5 divisions after flight play and single elimination matches. The following teams will be headed to South Carolina in hopes of bringing home a Sectional title:

Adult 40 & Over Kentucky State Championships

Congratulations to all our teams that participated in the 40 & Over Championships, hosted by the Tennis Association of Louisville, KY "TALK" and their crew of volunteers! What a crazy weekend for all of our teams, volunteers, facilities and staff. We managed to persevere through rains pushing matches indoors for part of the day on Friday, sunshine on Saturday and torrential downpours on Sunday! Be sure to wish our teams luck as they advance to compete in Asheville, NC to represent Kentucky in the Southern Sectional Championships. To view team pictures, click here.
Adult 18 & Over Kentucky State Championships

Congratulations to all the teams that participated in the largest USTA Kentucky State Championship within the last nine years! With a little over 900 player registrations, 82 teams, 159 matches, seven different sites, three indoor facilities and lots of fabulous volunteers, everyone enjoyed a great event!!! Pictures of all the teams that will be advancing to compete in the Southern Sectional Championships can be seen through this link. Southern Sectionals are in Mobile, Alabama July 24 - 26, 2015, please be sure to wish all these teams good luck as the represent Kentucky in the Southern Sectional Championships!

Our Kentucky Team consisted of 29 of the best players in their age group! Kentucky won 4th place overall, a tremendous effort in a field of 9! Way to go Kentucky! Many thanks to long-time team captains Susan Habeeb and Greg Combs for putting together such a great line-up!

18 & Over and 40 & Over Combo Doubles Southern Sectional Championships
Congratulations to all of our Combo teams! The 18's and 40's played in Mobile, AL the weekend of March 20th against teams from across the Southern Section. Kentucky came away with two teams carrying the champions awards, The 5.5 Tewell-Kline women's team and 9.5 Herring men's team, both from Lexington! Raise a Racquet Foundation for Kentucky Tennis
The Raise a Racquet Foundation is USTA Kentucky's Endowment Fund and is it's own seperate 501(c)3 entity, overseen by USTA Kentucky's Board of Directors. Through the funds raised, Raise a Racquet is able to carry out charitable good works to the Kentucky tennis community. In 2012, Raise a Racquet was able to award $5000 in college scholarships via the Jason Isaacs Scholarship Fund. Raise a Racquet also awarded $4000 for tournament travel, fees for clinics and camps for juniors who may otherwise would not have been able to participate.
