State Middle School Champions Crowned
For the first time in recent memory, middle school teams from Louisville, Lexington, Frankfort, Versailles, and Georgetown got together last weekend to participate in a middle school state championship.  Over 100 kids and 13 teams battled it out over 2 days before the Crosby Cougars were awarded the championship.  Click here for a team photo.  Also congrats should go out to the following teams:

November Adult League Captain of the Month
Congratulations to Don Jeffers from Frankfort, Kentucky!!  Don plays leagues in both Lexington and Frankfort and has been a captain of Adult Leagues since he began playing in 2009.  To read more about Don and his tennis history, please click here.

2015 Combo Doubles State Championships
Congratulations to all the teams that participated in the Combo Doubles Kentucky State Championships.  The weather once again dealt a rainy weekend of weather, requiring matches to move indoors.  Thank you to the volunteers and staff that helped to make the weekend a success.  Teams that will be advancing to compete in the Southern Sectional Championships are pictured, click here to see.

Paducah Drop Shots Recreational Tennis League
Register now for the upcoming Paducah Drop Shots Recreational Tennis League. Paducah Drop Shots Recreational Tennis League is an 8 week league for new tennis players or players looking for more social, recreational tennis fun. All matches will be played at the West Kentucky Community and Technical College on Tuesday nights from 6-8. Immediately following the weekly matches all participants are invited to City Rockers Pizza for menu and drink specials. Click herefor the jotform to register for this fun and exciting new league.

Raise a Racquet Foundation for Kentucky Tennis
The Raise a Racquet Foundation is USTA Kentucky's Endowment Fund and is it's own separate 501(c)3 entity, overseen by USTA Kentucky's Board of Directors. Through the funds raised, Raise a Racquet is able to carry out charitable good works to the Kentucky tennis community. In 2015, Raise a Racquet was able to award $3000 in college scholarships via the Jason Isaacs Scholarship Fund. Raise a Racquet also awarded $4000 for tournament travel, fees for clinics and camps for juniors who may otherwise would not have been able to participate. Raise A Racquet also provides a variety of resources and opportunities for individuals with disabilities, as well as wounded, ill, and injured veterans to enjoy and play the game. Click here to request need-based financial assistance for deserving Kentucky juniors. There you can find the guidelines for receiving Raise a Racquet funding and the application.
