DIRECTIONS
This program was established in 1980 and has grown from 13,000 participants in a few parts of the country in its first year, to over 570,000 players across the nation today, making it the world’s largest recreational tennis league. USTA League Tennis was established to provide adult recreational tennis players throughout the country the opportunity to compete against players of similar ability levels. Players participate on teams in a league format, which is administered by the United States Tennis Association through its 17 sectional associations.
The league groups players by ability using six National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) levels, from 2.5 (entry) to 5.0 (advanced). USTA League Tennis is open to any USTA member age 19 and older, and features a Senior Division (age 50+) and Super Senior Division (age 60+). All leagues provide players with the opportunity to get a great workout, improve skills, have fun, meet other players, and travel throughout the country.
